About Dr. Badea B. Khalaf
Dr Badea B. Khalaf is a British-trained Consultant Psychiatrist with more than two decades of experience in general adult psychiatry and specialised mental health services. He holds full registration with the General Medical Council, is recognised on the GMC Specialist Register, and is an approved Section 12(2) clinician.
His career includes substantive and locum roles across NHS Trusts and international medical institutions, as well as several years working in Saudi Arabia. Dr Khalaf has developed expertise in complex psychiatric conditions, acute emergencies, personality disorders, ADHD, and substance misuse. His ADHD work is supported by advanced certification from the UK Adult ADHD Network, and he is a member of the International Society for Addiction Medicine.
Dr Khalaf currently works as a consultant psychiatrist at Western Isles Hospital in Scotland, covering outpatient clinics, acute inpatient care, liaison psychiatry, and ADHD services. He is also committed to medical education and clinical governance, providing formal teaching and clinical supervision to psychiatric trainees, foundation doctors, and multidisciplinary teams.
